APPLEWOOD® VEGAN CORN RIBS WITH CHEEZE DIP
This is a really tasty recipe. We are going to melt the Applewood® Vegan cheeze to make an amazing sauce to run over the corn ribs.
These can be cooked in the oven but great on the bbq in the summer, too.
• 2 raw corn on the cobs
• 1/2 tsp of chilli flakes
• 1 tsp cumin
• 1 tsp paprika
• 1 tsp mixed herbs
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• A drizzle of oil
• 200g grated Applewood® Vegan cheeze
• A handful of chopped parsley
• 2 tbsp vegan honey alternative
• 50ml plant milk
Pre-heat the oven to 190c.
Stand a corn cob on its end and carefully, using a knife, cut down the length of the cob. Ensure you’re cutting into the husk to avoid cutting off just the kernels. Repeat all the way round. Lay the pieces on a chopping board (flat side down) and cut in half again. This should give you approximately 16 long strips.
In a bowl mix the vegan honey alternative, chilli flakes, cumin, paprika, mixed herbs, garlic powder and oil together and mix well.
Coat the ‘riblets’ in the mixture and pop them on a baking tray. Pop in the oven for 20 minutes.
While they are cooking, add the Applewood® Vegan grated cheeze into a saucepan and as it melts, slowly stir in the plant milk. Once the corn is ready, bring it out and pop on a serving plate. You can either use the cheeze sauce as a dip or drizzle it over the top of the corn.
Sprinkle with parsley. Enjoy!
